THEODORE BOULOUKOS — THE LAST OF SHEILA

New York City actor Theodore Bouloukos joins the FEAST to drink a BELLS TWO HEARTED IPA and discuss THE LAST OF SHELIA — co-written by Anthony Perkins and Stephen Sondheim. Long before Bret Easton Ellis reveled in the narcissism of the entitled, Perkins and Sondheim celebrated it with just as little concern for likable characters. Bon appétit!

PERSONAL PROBLEMS — BILL GUNN

Episode #100 gives Mike a send-off with WHAT WE ALL WANT IPA from FOREIGN OBJECTS BEER COMPANY. I suppose the film could have been titled BROKEN PROMISES just because that's what I keep calling it. Either way, it's really two parts of a would-be soap opera celebrating Black culture in early '80s America. We watched the film courtesy of METROGRAPH CINEMA and the fine folks at Kino Lorber, with the film's writer Ishmael Reed in-person introduction. Kewl. Bon appetite Bouffers!
