Gene Wilder is my favorite comic of all time. His hilarious performances in "Blazing Saddles" (opposite the amazing Cleavon Little), "Silver Streak" (opposite the legendary Richard Pryor) and (his masterpiece) "Young Frankenstein" (opposite the stupefyingly funny Madeline Kahn, Marty Feldman, Cloris Leachman, and Teri Garr) are forever etched in my memory. Gene Wilder had a special kindness in his eyes that let you know he was in on the fun you were sharing with him.
Love is a meek word to describe how I, and millions of other of his fans, feel about this brilliant comedian. We'll always have your wonderful films to explore and celebrate. You were, and are, the epitome of authenticity. Cheers good Master!
