Ballistic Now Offers Ground-Breaking Protective Cases for Droid X, HTC’s Evo and Samsung’s Fascinate

Pioneering case company unveils three new models of two of its award-winning, durable cases, offering more consumers a case that will survive life

Ft. Lauderdale, FL (January 26, 2011) – Ballistic, designers of advanced mobile accessories, is thrilled to announce the debut of  the Ballistic SG™ (Shell Gel), available for Motorola’s Droid X and HTC’s Evo; and the Ballistic HC™ (Hard Core), now available for HTC’s Evo and Samsung’s Fascinate.

The Ballistic HC case is the most technically advanced rugged case on the market. It features an optional outer gel skin layer, front facing inward holster and built-in screen protector. Speaker and microphone openings are covered in a water resistant mesh.  Additionally, Camera / Flash openings have an integrated clear lens cover to protect them from scratches.  The optional silicone layer incorporates innovative connector seals, to ensure that dirt and other corrosive materials do not enter into the ports.

The Ballistic SG case offers superior protection in a slimmer form factor.  It integrates an outermost layer, which is made of soft Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) for shock absorption. This TPU layer is co-molded to the middle layer which is made of tough impact resistant polycarbonate. These two layers combine to offer a formidable defense against everyday damage. The inner-most layer is made of soft silicone, with strong Ballistic Corners™ to absorb the shock of a drop.

“The Ballistic SG and HC have offered customers worldwide a rugged option to protect their mobile devices from everyday drops and scratches,” said Adam Stubin, VP of Business Development, Ballistic. “Given the immense popularity of these two models, we wanted to be sure we offered the same protection to other mobile devices users, guaranteeing these additional devices will survive life!”

The Ballistic HC takes durability to the next level by integrating an impressive five layers of protection:

About Ballistic

The Ballistic® brand was realized 6 years ago when the owner was getting out of his car and his phone fell, cracking the screen.  He believed there had to be a way to offer consumers a high level of protection in a case that still looked good.

The Ballistic engineers designed private label holsters and belt clips that simply would not break. During this time, the company made millions of OEM branded holsters and belt clips.

As smart phones became more popular, the need for drop protection became necessary.  Ballistic engineers examined their competitor’s products and knew they could do better. The result is now a line of a variety of Ballistic cases. These cases provide the most advanced degree of drop protection currently in the market.

We think everyone will drop their phone.  We say, “Just Drop It!”–as long as you are using a Ballistic case.  Ballistic cases are Designed to Survive Life!™
