"Maureen Fazendeiro (b. 1989) is a French filmmaker and scriptwriter based in Lisbon. She studied literature, art and cinema. Her films Motu Maeva (2014) and Black Sun (2019) were selected in many international film festivals and screened in cinematheques, museums and art fairs. She is a member of “L’Abominable”, an artist-run lab based in Paris. She worked as a casting director for Miguel’s Arabian Nights. She then collaborated as a scriptwriter on Savagery and Grand Tour. In 2020 they co-directed The Tsugua Diaries."
"Miguel Gomes was born in Lisbon in 1972. He graduated from the Lisbon Film and Theatre School and worked as film critic. He directed several successful short films. His first feature The Face You Deserve was released in Portugal and France. His next feature films confirmed his international success. Gomes is presently working on Savagery, based on Euclides da Cunha’s “Os Sertões”, and developing The Grand Tour, a fiction feature project, co-written with Mariana Ricardo, Telmo Churro and Maureen Fazendeiro."
