"Saul Williams is an American poet, musician, and actor. He made his debut in Marc Levin’s 1998 Camera D’Or film Slam – which he co-wrote and starred in. Neptune Frost is his first feature."

The Un Certain Regard section of the Festival is where the action is. While the Competition films are the main attraction, the films competing in the Un Certain Regard section promise a treasure trove of surprises worthy of special attention. "Blue Bayou" promises just such a reward. Looking forward to screening this one.

THE FRENCH DISPATCH

"A love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional twentieth century French city that brings to life a collection of stories published in "The French Dispatch Magazine.""

Wes Anderson is up to his old less than great tricks. It's more than doubtful that "The French Dispatch" will win the Palme but at least there's a place for silly entertainment in the Competition.
