The Cohen Brothers new movie "No Country For Old Men" has been confirmed, and New Line’s fantasy film "The Golden Compass" with Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman (directed by Chris Weitz) will also be shown.
"Oceans 13" will give Hollywood a nod beside rumors that Quentin Tarantino’s "Death Proof," from his and Robert Rodriguez double-feature "Grindhouse," will be shown with the addition of its "missing reel."
Other films rumored to be at the festival are: "Paranoid Park" (Gus Van Sant), "Cassandra’s Dreams" (Woody Allen), "I’m Not There" (Todd Haynes), "A Mighty Heart" (Michael Winterbottom), "City of Men" (by "City of God" director Fernando Meirelles), "Mister Lonely" (Harmony Korine), "Diving Bell and Butterfly" (Julian Schnabel), "Sicko" (Michael Moore), "My Blueberry Nights" (Wong Kar Wai), "The Sun Also Rises" (Jiang Wen), "Left Right" (Wang Xiaoshui), "Triangle" (directed by Tsui Hark, Johnie To and Ringo Lam).
"Jodha Akbar" (Ashutosh Gowariker) has been confirmed, and will likely be included in the festival’s commemoration of 60 years of Indian independence, which matches the age of the festival.
Other likely titles to look for at this year’s festival are "Secret Sunshine" (Lee Changdong), "Breath" (Kim Kiduk) and "Across the Years (Im Kwon-taek).
French films "Apres Lui," with Catherine Deneuve, and "Le Secret" (by Claude Miller) promise to charm the "smoking" jackets off more than a few international journalists.
