Hollywood cranks out yet another prosaic teen-girl-romantic-comedy from its bottomless cultural vacuum in this Hilary Duff vehicle that no non-female person over the age of 12 should ever have to suffer through.
Holly's (Duff) promiscuous single mother Jean (Heather Locklear) moves her two daughters to a new city every time her latest ill-fated fling with Mr. Wrong runs its predictable course.
Holly intends the family's latest move — to Brooklyn — to be their last. She boldly attempts to derail her mom's attraction to bakery coworker Lenny (Mike O'Malley) by inventing a secret admirer.
Trouble lurks as Holly involves her own love interest Adam (Ben Feldman) in waving the fragrance of romance under Jean's nose.
Rated PG. 100 mins.
