ColeSmithey.comThis slack reinterpretation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s "The Great Gatsby" centers on a love triangle between a group of distinctly unlikable nouveau riche people who know little about adapting to their Hamptons surroundings.

They know even less about their personal responsibilities. Rap mogul Richard T. Jones shares the same social milieu as the mistress of pseudo Wall Street executive Chip (Blair Underwood), whose wife Sky (Chenoa Maxwell) is a former flame of Jones from college.

Chip’s lackey Tre (Andre Royo) puts fuel to flame when he arranges a private assignation between Jones and Maxwell. "G" is a vacuous movie set in attractive locations.

It's not worth the time of day.

Rated R. 97 mins.
