Cheers to Michael Cimino

Cheers to the late, great Michael Cimino. He put Terrence Malick to shame. Compare Cimino's neo-western "Gates of Heaven" to Malick's "Days of Heaven." It's already confusing because the titles are so similar that it's easy to switch the movies around. "Days of Heaven" is a good film; "Gates of Heaven" is a masterpiece. So too is "The Deer Hunter."
