R.I.P. PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN: July 23, 1967 – February 2, 2014

I'll never forget seeing Philip Seymour Hoffman in The Seagull in 2001 — in Central Park — with Natalie Portman, Meryl Streep, and Kevin Kline. It was a rainy Tuesday night and the line for tickets when on for blocks. Everyone was soaked. As it got closer to 8pm so many people had given up and left that I was able to get in. I sat there shivering and wet but didn't mind because it was the most incredible theater experience of my life. Philip was amazing!
