Samson to Expand Expedition Line of Portable Sound Systems

New models offer users a wireless and a 500 watt solutions ideal for parties, tailgates, karaoke and more

Hauppauge, NY – February 03, 2010 –

Samson Technologies,
an industry leading audio technology manufacturer, is excited to
announce two new additions to the Expedition family of Portable Sound
Systems.  Due out in April of this year the XP40iw (wireless) and
XP510i will join the highly successful XP308i Portable Sound System.
The new models will continue Expedition tradition of delivering
powerful single system portable sound and are perfect at a tailgate,
backyard barbeque, wedding or Christmas party.

The
Samson Expedition family continues to be the only portable sound
systems available with integrated iPod docks, making DJ-ing a party
easier than ever before.

“I recently used an Expedition system
at home during a Halloween party with my iPod,” said Mark Wilder,
Director of Marketing for Samson Technologies.  ”The setup could not
have been easier, I had the music pumping through my house and backyard
in under 5 minutes.  DJ-ing with the Expedition system is the perfect
DIY solution for professional sound.”

The 40 watt XP40iw is
Samson’s first Expedition model to include a wireless mic system and
features a rechargeable battery, onboard iPod dock, handheld mic, two
channel inputs for additional mics or instruments and an integrated
handle and stand mount for easy setup and breakdown.  Expedition is an
all-in-one portable sound system perfect for any application where
great sound and portability are a must.

Samson’s new XP5101i
pumps out crystal clear sound through dual 2-way speakers with a
detachable 10-channel mixer with a 500 watt (2 x 250) Class D
amplifier. The speakers employ 10-inch woofers in vented enclosures for
outstanding bass response while 1-inch high-frequency drivers deliver
sweet highs. And when the party’s over, the speakers slide together,
the mixer locks into the back of one speaker and the cables pack up in
the back of the other, for a single unit that weighs just over 50
pounds.

The original XP308i, which is now available, comes
complete with dual 2-way speakers, on-board mixer and 300 watt power
amplifier, 8-channel mixer with built in iPod dock, 4 mic/line in
inputs internal and effects processor.  Portability is second to none
with the XP308i thanks to a clever, lightweight design that allows you
to pack all the pieces together into a single, easy to transport case.
