OLD LYME, Conn. – April
15, 2010 –Audio specialist Sennheiser and adidas are bringing their
award winning line of Sennheiser/adidas sports performance headphones to
the 114th Boston Marathon to introduce runners and fans of the oldest
and most prestigious marathon in the world to true sound experience.

The new line of sports performance headphones will be presented at the
Sennheiser booth (#2333) and will be available for sale at the adidas
merchandising booth (#1940). This exciting new line is comprised of
various wearing styles from in-ear to neckband. Each of these models is
highly regarded for their durability and exceptional sound quality; In
January, the CX 680 in-ear sports performance headphone won the
prestigious Innovations Award at the 2010 CES Convention in Las Vegas.

The Sennheiser/adidas sports performance headphones are ideal not only
for marathons, but for the toughest training sessions. For example,
their sturdy and hardwearing materials make the earphones insensitive to
strong vibrations. They can also withstand cold and moisture: their
fibre-reinforced cable still remains soft and flexible even at
temperatures below freezing. A completely new protection system against
moisture not only effectively repels sweat, but also protects the
internal components of the earphones against rainwater. After a training
session, the earphones can simply be rinsed off under the tap. In all
of the models, powerful and robust dynamic Sennheiser engineered
loudspeaker systems guarantee excellent, motivating and high quality
sound. The volume can be adjusted at any time using the volume control
integrated into the cable.

Sennheiser has been very successful with sports headphones in the
consumer electronics market for many years. The Sennheiser/adidas sports
performance headphones mark the beginning of a cooperation in which
Sennheiser and adidas are combining the very best of the sports and
audio worlds, bringing even greater focus on the sports market. The
Sennheiser name is synonymous throughout the world with top-quality
audio products, while adidas is one of the leading brands in the
sporting goods sector.
