New York, NY – May 28, 2013 – Kino Lorber is proud to announce the DVD release of The Giants, a film by Bouli Lanners that tells the story of two teens who set out for adventure after being left to their own devices for the summer. The Giants is the third feature-length film from director Bouli Lanners, and won the Best Film, Directors’ Fortnight at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
The Giants comes to DVD on June 4th with a SRP of $29.95.
The film tells the story of two brothers, Seth (Martin Nissen) and Zak (Zacharie Chasseriaud). When their mother abandons them in their dead grandfather’s house, the two young teens are left to their own devices.
As the long summer drags on, and their money runs low, the two boys befriend another boy, Danny (Paul Bartel), who connects them with a small-time drug dealer who wants to rent their place. When things go horribly wrong, the three boys set out on the road in a Huck Finn-style journey of adventure and self-discovery.
