IFC FILMS EXPANDS HUMAN CENTIPEDE CHAIN BY TAKING NORTH AMERICAN RIGHTS TO TOM SIX’S
THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE PART 2 (FULL SEQUENCE)

Tom-six New York, NY (September 24, 2010) – Jonathan Sehring, President of IFC Films, announced today that the company has acquired the North American rights to Tom Six’s much anticipated sequel THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE PART 2 (FULL SEQUENCE) for its IFC Midnight label, which offers the very best in international genre cinema, including horror, sci-fi, thrillers, erotic arthouse, action and more.  FULL SEQUENCE has just wrapped shooting in London, and the story is being kept completely under wraps.  The only information IFC Films and the producers are revealing is that this time there is a new villain on the scene named Martin, and that the premise is 100% medically inaccurate!  IFC Films will be releasing THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE PART 2 (FULL SEQUENCE) in 2011.

IFC Films has released a teaser for the film which premiered on IFC.COM today featuring Six who prepares viewers for “what really will be the sickest movie of all time.”  The video can be viewed at: http://www.ifc.com/news/2010/09/human-centipede-2.php.  The teaser is on demand nationwide as part of IFC Films’ Direct From Fantastic Fest initiative, in which 4 movies from the Festival are premiering nationwide on demand.

Tom Six’s THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FIRST SEQUENCE) opened in spring of 2010 as one of the most talked about, and cringed about, horror films of the year.  FIRST SEQUENCE, featuring an obsessed doctor who surgically joins his unsuspecting victims together, was one of IFC Films’ biggest on-demand successes of all time, and continuously sold out midnight screenings nationwide.  FIRST SEQUENCE premiered at Fantastic Fest in 2009, receiving the awards for Best Horror Film and Best Actor, and also took home Best Picture at the 2009 Scream Fest.  Recently, the film has been nominated for Best Villain and Most Memorable Mutilation for the 2010 Scream Awards, which air on October 19th.   In conjunction with this year’s Fantastic Fest, THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (FIRST SEQUENCE) will be re-released on video on demand, prior to the October 5th standard DVD and Blu-ray release of the film.

Jonathan Sehring commented, “We couldn’t wait for the opportunity to work with Tom Six again, who is clearly a master of his trade.  IFC Films had so much fun with the release of FIRST SEQUENCE, we loved watching audiences squirm in their seats as the film set a new standard in the horror genre.  We are thrilled to be bringing the horrifying experience of FULL SEQUENCE to American audiences through our theatrical and VOD platforms. We look forward to CONNECTING this film to an even bigger audience.”

Tom Six commented, “I like to say PART ONE is like My Little Pony compared to the film we are editing now.  IFC Films has been such an incredible partner… I can only hope that they won’t be so disgusted that they try to get out of this new deal.”

THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE PART 2 (FULL SEQUENCE) was negotiated by Arianna Bocco, SVP of Acquisitions and Co-Productions for IFC Films and Jeff Deutchman, Manager of Acquisitions & Productions, for IFC Films with Ilona Six, producer Six Entertainment negotiating on behalf of the filmmakers.
