The moral of this year's Oscars is that any amount of dance performance is too much dance. If the Academy would just do away with all music and dance numbers, and combine "Sound Editing" and "Sound Mixing" into one award, the show would come in on time and everyone would be happier.
Kudos to Kathryn Bigelow and all the great talent on "Hurt Locker." Jeremy Renner's day will come. "Dahmer" was the first thing I saw him in years ago, and it stands up a great performance to this day.
Any excuse to not have to hear James Cameron crow about being "king of the world" is a welcome reward. Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees alike. Jeff Bridges is aces. Sandra Bullock and Christoph Waltz gave great speeches.
